An aesthetically pleasing couple who are vision impaired, a set of thugs waiting to violate the beautiful, aftermath of violation, a separation, ineffective and clueless police, revenge drama, victory be unto the blind.  

Above is a succinct depiction of a mediocre melodrama , which even includes a dance sequence by Hrithik and Co, the cinematography is at times picturesque. The plot is highly predictable but the execution is decent. Hrithik has done well, but he deserves much better. Yami Gautham plays the girl who smiles too much while happy and thinks too little while troubled. 

After a series of horrendous scripts, Hrithik chooses to continue to bemuse us with his ability to do the mediocre. Though this one is better in execution than the last few. In a hero centric movie, this commercially catered cinema will succeed through sheer mediocrity catered to masses. A one time watch for Hrithik, but a tale that renders the viewers blind owing to its script.

Kadhalum Kadandhu Pogum

An intermittently well mannered rowdy/Adiyal. A beautiful girl who's jobless. Their lives crossover.

The girl comes to chennai with an offer letter, she's loses her job, gets lost in the world of unemployment, she's vulnerable with none to care.

He's just being himself, the rowdy with a heart. Frank to the core,  a lover extempore. A man with more of wisdom, less of muscling his way out of a fight. When given a chance he turns provider of comforts to one and all.

He dreams of being a bar owner and she's looking for a job for ever. He's just there every time she returns from a failed interview. He provides solace without expecting a return. Her head is turned....

But things maybe aren't meant to be as cliched as one is used to...he helps her all he can to make it into the world of monotony called employment. She succeeds. He goes savage on a assignment to kill his employer's nemesis and doesn't return for long. The sparks of love are diffused by passage of time before they come into contact with one another

The humour elements are perfectly interlaced to give the required laughter bits. The lead cast have emoted well enough to convey the varied sentiments. Vijay Sethupathi plays his role to perfection, Madonna sizzles her way into her first Tamil film. Others do their believable character roles well enough. The director delivers again, helped by the actors and a well written script except for the climax written to address Tamil audience. Definitely worth a watch.

If you let it beat, you'll be beaten up and then will cave in to the demands of heart maybe:)

A family melodrama on a cruise  which ends with the comic voice of Aamir Khan alais Pluto Mehra , the dog of wisdom to humanity.

A wedding anniversary of a dysfunctional couple of upper social class necessitates the journey of celebration on a cruise wherein ;

We find

1. A Dad who has had quite a few affairs, business and marriage being the worst managed of them,

2. A Mother who couldn't manage an affair of her own,

3. A Daughter looking for divorce from her current to wed her past,

4. A Son whose passion is to fly but ends up grouded loving a dancer.

How is one to connect them all into a mess of a movie - we give it up to Dil Dhadakne do ......

Wherein the dad plans to make the latest addition to the family on the grounds of his business and emotional bankruptcy.  He plots for one of his friends to bank roll him out of business woes by relating his son to his friends daughter. 

When the plan goes awry, the son gradually manages to point out the flaws to his parents, only to end up swimming in the Mediterranean Sea to get back to his loved one.

Ranvir tries to belong to the upper class but his colours gradually wore off, as he returns to his original self. Priyanka does well taking a pill to erase her memories of her current dysfunctional relationship with her husband. Kudos to Anil kapoor, who carries the movie on his age old shoulders, the best actor the movie has to offer . Though Anushka doesn't pull off the dancer, she's still worthy of love in her moments of intimacy with Ranvir. Farhan ain't really starring in the movie so no comments.

Overall worthy of a watch with no expectations, If you could appreciate the humour and laugh it off once you get out of the movie hall. Zoya Akhtar," the director of luck by chance", has turned to commerciality on failure of appreciation for her intellect. She uses a dog to impart wisdom to some of us . God bless her with many more successes for Zindagi na milegi dobara!:)

Hunt"her" themed hunterrr, isn't a movie portraying decency, for people claiming to be decent, who're ignorant, those of double standards and then actors :)

Orally explicit and visually implicit. Hunterrr hunts down cliches with adult rated reality. Manda might never be the perfect Ganda(partner in Kannada), it's just hormonal imbalance favouring perversion in his formative years of adulthood. When heart takes over, primal instincts are overcome by mind, citing requirement of permanence in a relationship for the welfare of the heart. Years and days start mattering more than minutes of intimacy. As maturity raises its ugly head, Adrenaline goes lower for bodily requirements temporarily, honesty sinks in, to make a life of love that concerns the part that beats rather than ........

Hunterrr is rare in its profanity and honesty. A brave attempt of combining the temporal requirements of a man and things of permanence that realisation could offer. Go watch it, if you could stomach the reality of perversion, many won't !

Kaaviya thalaivan

A love triangle of the old with a benefactor male and an effort that is bold. Plotted with pure hearted jealousy, With music that sizzles and plot that fizzles out to unite lovers for a tragic closure. A noble effort of novelty, with acting that could've been better and tragedy that could've been bitter. Vasantha balan tried a Shakespeare but could only afford Raghuvaran( prithviraj) to play a pivotal role. Though its Siddharth who's afforded a chance to pull a rabbit out of the hat, the expression of prithvi raj is what enthuses you from the crowd while witnessing the act. Captivating visuals help you adore the effort, and the background music aids your comfort. A stare of innocence into the heart of evil helps plant the seeds of rehabilitation for one's misdeeds is what we are made to believe. Overall it's more of a tragedy that leaves you with crocodile tears in the end, but worth your time for its novel picturisation, prithviraj's acting, background score that's just enough for your rupee outlay.
