Kavaludaari - My View

A brilliant and thrilling path less traversed by recent Kannada cinema
A meticulous thriller with certain blind spots that one would gloss over in the brilliant screenplay and excellent cinematography,
To summarize, this movie packs carefully constructed sequences, blind gun shots to deceive, plot twists that only the gifted would imagine, honest actors, “Ananth Nag”- the definition of character artist, herculean tasks accomplished with simplicity and logic, hats off performance in a negative role,
I am not experienced enough to rate the nuanced acting skills of the Nag genius ( A biased fan of this underrated master of the art) nor the subtle yet apt of Achyuth kumar
The Antagonist in the earlier parts of the movie has done brilliantly (name not available to quote), Rishi has the aesthetics and the acting skills to become a super star of Kannada cinema and he has done justice to his role of the unhired yet curious detective.
No spoilers in this one as I thoroughly enjoyed it and hence the non-review of the script would connote “please see it to believe it”. Even the beginning of the film with a few seconds inspired by “Mad Men” oozes class. I will leave you with two words that should inspire Kannada cinema “Hemanth Rao” – the director of this movie and the one that directed “Godhi Banna Sadharana Maikattu”. Watch it, bedazzled! #Kavaludaari
